Luna Llena offered a fine outdoor pool area. The breakfast lacked variety, limiting options .

The owner Francesca is committed to making your stay comfortable and went out of her way to get us a meal when we arrived late after a long (all day) bus ride from Belize. The hotel is small (8 units) and tastefully decorated in a very Italian style. A little far from the downtown and beach but very quiet at night.

Clean and the staff was super-friendly. The location was exceptionally nice, in the jungle of Tulum, in the natural area. Also, this hotel was situated 3 km from tourist destination like Parque Dos Ojos.

Charming but a bit isolated
Luna Llena Tulum offered a safe haven for my solo travels. The serene outdoor pool was a dream. I also enjoyed the spacious room and high ceilings, giving it a lovely airy feel.
Despite the charm, the location felt a bit far from the lively parts of Tulum. Few transportation options were available, and the breakfast was a bit too simple for my taste, lacking fresh fruits or variety.

Staff and owner very helpful and friendly. Small, but clean, European style room. Good for stays of more than 3 days for those who appreciate being able to use a kitchen with a microwave and a refrigerator. Not on the beach, but can use the beach at a hotel on the water that Luna Llena has an arrangement with.
They seem a bit reluctant to give fresh towels when asked for.

The young fellow who was in charge tried to be of assistance, but he had very little control over the operation of the hotel and how it was being managed.
First of all there are no street signs in Tulum so we could not find the hotel. We did see signs to Luna Llena and followed them to a gated building way back off the beaten path on a dirt lane. When we got there we could not find a sign for an office or any way to get into the gated property. We searched for Hotel Posada Luna Llena and could not find it. We finally called Booked.net and you put us in touch with the young fellow. He came by cab to meet us and direct us back to Luna Llena. He half heartedly offered to help us with our bags. He showed us to our rooms, half of which had not been made up and he had to take us to different rooms. We were finally offered a second floor room with a regular size bed, not queen as promised. The shower was freezing cold in the morning. We were offered cold toast, fake orange juice and cold coffee for breakfast. He did knock $10 off the cost of each room (we were traveling with two other couples). I would not recommend this property to anyone traveling to Tulum.

Had such a great time at Luna Llena! The outdoor pool area is fine, perfect for chilling out. Room was clean with a nice balcony. WiFi was a bit spotty, but I found plenty of cafes nearby with great connection.

I came here for 3 nights and had a relaxing stay. Really enjoyed Tulum, the hotel was charming little and private within walking distance of everything. Location: the venue was near the beach. Had lunch/dinner at La Consentida, which I found at a short distance from the hotel. The beds were very comfy and the room was new-fashioned and nicely furnished...

The service was not what we expected, even more after reading all the good comments from the website. I don't know if they just got a bad day or what, but the service was not at the level the ratings from the website show. Location difficult. Rooms are not very clean, the did make the bed but not put any clean sheets on it. They did not do the bathroom. No clean towels. I left the ac on in order to return to a cool room, ones we return we end up on a hot room with a 1 year old baby. Overall our stay was not pleasant at all. The price was not that good after all. I went to check prices on other hotels after the disappointment and the prices varied from 10 to 20 + dollars. I think the comfort and enjoyment of my family are worthy paying a little extra. Any ways it looks like this hotel is more like a Hostel or close to it. It may work for some people but not for me. I will not stay in this hotel my next time.

Breakfast might be basic, but the real culinary adventures await just a stroll away! Pizzeria Manglar is awesome for authentic flavors, while Xiximak Restaurante is a gem for unique dishes. Plus, the outdoor pool area is fine, perfect for a relaxing day in the sun!
While the WiFi was a bit hit-and-miss, no worries-it gives you an excuse to explore those fab cafes nearby! All in all, my stay was fab, with so much to love at Luna Llena.

The hotel is a hidden gem with a fine garden and refreshing pool. Francesca, our host, treated us like family, offering helpful tips to explore Tulum. We also organized a snorkeling trip through the tour desk, a blast!
My kids wished there were more activities for them.

Fashionable & nicely furnished unit with balcony and soap. Appetising and fantastic food. Quiet setting in the calm area, short walk to the best cafes, bars and restaurants in La Veleta, the private beach and downtown.

Amazing jungle vibes
The staff were super friendly and helpful. I spent time at the outdoor pool, really chill and beautiful. Only thing was, renting bikes could've been cheaper. Still loved my stay though!
